The fire roars. The hammer calls. Welcome to Forge FeveR, where rhythm is your only tool and perfection is your only goal.

Forge FeveR is an arcade rhythm game with a roguelite twist, created for the GMTK Game Jam 2025, on the theme "Loop." Take on the role of a hot-tempered blacksmith and strike in time with the music to forge the most powerful sword imaginable.

In short but intense musical loops, you must land rhythmic hits across three tracks to unlock exponential score multipliers. Your performance in each loop determines whether you advance to a greater challenge or are brutally knocked down to an easier one. The game ends when you conquer the final difficulty level, forging a legendary sword that immortalizes your high score.

A Twist on the "Loop" Theme

The game is built around an additive musical loop. A single, unchangeable base melody guides you. Each time you level up, new instrumental layers (percussion, synths, etc.) are seamlessly added to the core loop, enriching the music and creating an ever-intensifying forging "fever."

• Exponential Fever System: Chain 'Perfect' hits to fill your Fever Meter and unlock massive score multipliers: x2, x4, x8, x16, all the way to the devastating "Supernova Forge" mode at x32!
 
• High-Stakes Progression: Perfection is the only path. Achieve 90% accuracy to level up and intensify the music. Fall below 80%, and you'll hear the discouraging sound of a crack as you are demoted.
 
• Forge Your Legacy: Your score visually upgrades your sword through quality tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and more!). Reaching a new tier activates a checkpoint, preventing your score and sword from falling too far back.
 
• Harsh Penalties: Mistakes are costly. A single miss not only resets your Fever Meter and multiplier but also applies a score penalty that doubles with each consecutive failure.
 
• Intense Sensory Feedback: Every action is designed to be felt. From the screen-shaking, explosive visuals of a 'Perfect' hit to the discouraging 'CRACK' of a level down.
